A new direction

Stride was born out of our desire to drastically change the way engineers perform calculations. We believe that current structural engineers are extremely underserved by the tools that are available to them and wanted to build something much better.

What we discovered along the way was that calculations were not the true bottleneck in the engineering process. A large portion of the real value a structural engineer provides is more than just calculating designs. It's the ability to be creative, to manage the flow of information, to make the best decision with limited resources, and to communicate and pull people together in tough situations.

Because of this, we've decided to retire Stride and refocus on assisting engineers in their day to day through the use of an AI powered assistant. Large language models open up a whole new world of possibilities that we're really excited to explore.

We're extremely grateful to all our users and customers for their support and feedback. We've learned a lot from you and we're excited to see where the future takes us.
