Founding Statement

Every industry has been accelerated by the advent of new technologies and processes - so why does it feel like the tools of the structural engineering profession has stagnated? Why are we still so critically dependent on software that looks like it was written in the 90s and workflows that parallel marking up physical drawings in this day of rapid technological progress?

Structural engineering is a beautiful discipline and deserves a lot more love and care from innovators in the technology space. This is where our team hopes to bridge the gap. To create structural design software that sparks joy and that lets our fellow engineers know that they are valued for the critical work they do.

Our team believes in a few central concepts:

• Structured, live calculations should be at the heart of every project
• Incremental and collaborative reviews over a single, concentrated point-in-time review
• Integrations and extensions over trying to do everything
• We need to take a proactive role in shaping LLMs and AI for use in structural engineering

We think that we can build a piece of software that is tailored to the needs of the modern structural engineer and be a core part of the daily workflow, growing alongside the design community that we serve.

But we can't do this alone - we also need your input and your thoughts to help us shape what structural engineering will look like tomorrow.
